Couldn't be happier right now, what a 3rd period. That speed & puck movement on the PP was as good as I've seen in yrs by the Rangers. Great game from top to bottom but it is only 1 game. The boys have to be ready on Sunday for a desperate Flyers team. It's really in their heads now that they can't win at MSG & we have to step on their throats & keep it that way. |

man, "Rangers in 60" sure screwed up
I am watching in the 3rd period waiting to see the goals again, and it is 1-1 and they fast forward the game past the two big goals and all of a sudden it's 3-1.
I think somebody does that job who could care less about the game |

Jeez, talk about screwing the pooch. Or maybe the guy in charge is a Flyers fan. |

Solid game all the way through. Flyers take a brutal penalty, Rangers take over on the scoreboard, Flyers resort to their usual nonsense at the end of the game.

hey, so whenever we lost after the St Louis-Callahan trade, people were sure to come on here and mention the stats of the two of them with their new teams. So in honor of that, playoff stats so far.
Callahan: 0 points
St. Louis: 2 assists
but seriously, I am rooting for Tampa in that series and I hope Cally has a big game tonight, because they need it |

St. Louis is the infinitely better player than Callahan. Those that point to the stats for each player, since the trade, are trolling on a whole new and sad level.
Richards was obviously the third period individual standout, last night, but St. Louis got two vital assists as well.
Have to tip my hat, to the whole team, but on an individual basis Stepan really played a great game as well.
Overall very impressive game; Lundqvist didn't need to make many tough saves to secure the win. |

NHL network just showed something cool.
They were in Rangers locker room after game and showed Rick Nash awarding Brad Richards the broadway hat. And then they showed Richards put up the first of 16 stickers or puzzle pieces on the wall that will eventually become the Stanley Cup. |

I can't figure out one player who I was disappointed in last night. The Rangers dominated on a night when their best player is clearly not 100% yet too. But McDonagh seemed to get himself going a bit as the game wore on. |

McDonagh had a rough start but that was to be expected. He hadn't played the last two weeks of the year and then his first game back is a playoff game.
He did get his bearings and played better, as the game wore on, but his timing was an obvious and understandable issue in the beginning.
It's only one game but it's nice to see the Rangers dominating a gae and not havng to rely on Lundqvist to win. |

Richards was a savage in the third period.
Every line did a great job last night and the defense was rock solid. |

Great game last night guys. Monster power play. The tic tac toe passing was impressive. |

The passing on the Stepan goal looked the the puck was on a string.
McDonagh to St. Louis, St. Louis to Richards, Richards to Stepan, Stepan to the back of the net.
Justified results in the third period. Flyers generated next to nothing offensively and were on their heels all night. |

I never realized Fast could play so physcial. For such a small guy he had no problems throwing his body around. Went after Grossman a few times to. |

That move by McDonagh to start that play at the blue line was ridiculous...he undressed that one flyers player |

Neither did I; Vigneault obviously knows a lot more than we do about his players.
I was initially concerned about the lack of physicality with Fast's game but last night he was front and center in that department. |

yeah, it was definitely a little questionable putting him in the lineup but he played well and physical. He definitely has some promise.
And, don't know if anyone remembers it but there was a huge hit by Kevin Klein in the offensive zone, who I thought was outstanding defensively last night |

Which defenseman, aside from McDonagh(understandably so) in the first period, didn't play a great overall game last night? |

So glad they won last night. Had to put my golden retriever down on Wednesday, and if the Rangers would have lost last night it would have been a real poopty weekend. |
